The Christmas Event is now live! If you’ve been playing Rust for a while, you know what this means. If you haven’t, here’s what you can expect: Every once in a while you will hear the sound of jingle bells. Run outside and look for a gift! Two gifts are spawned per player, in a radius of about 40m from…

Hair is here, workbench experimentation, upcoming building changes, and more. Player Hair I’ve been working with Diogo Teixeira on the final few tech issues before getting hair into Rust. Currently in game are two hair styles per gender, two facial hair styles and eyebrow and body hair. Halloween is here, with an unholy update of skeletal remains, graves, burning skulls, and network encryption! Video Update Halloween Items Happy Halloween! Gas station and supermarket monuments are in, as are item information panels. Default map size has increased. This patch wipes the servers. Enjoy! Supermarket & Gas Station DAMIAN LAZARSKI I’ve been polishing the supermarket for the update. The shelves were looking a bit empty, so I decided to make a bunch of clutter to give it more of a post-apocalyptic feel. Things such as rotten food, old bottles and newspapers were scattered around the scene and I’ll add these to…

The APC is in! You’ll find it patrolling the launch site. In the blog we talk about it, recoil, optimizations, and more. Bradley APC MAURINO BERRY The Bradley APC is in. Let me start this off by saying that it is not complete by any stretch of the imagination. It’s going to have a bunch of bugs, especially with movement, and it doesn’t have the right loot tables or damage or protection values. It’s going to get stuck, and it’s…
